Entertaining Experts-Doug and Marguerite Beers of Castle Club (Jamao al Norte, Dominican Republic)
In December, my husband and I had the pleasure to attend the wedding of some close friends in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. The ceremony took place in one of the most breath-taking and interesting venues I'd ever visited, Castle Club in Jamao al Norte, 20 minutes outside of Cabarete. This remote, open air, stone mini-castle is nestled on a mountaintop with a Southern terrace that overlooks unspoiled valleys, rivers and rolling tropical hills for as far as the eye can see. The lovely owners, New Jersey natives Doug and Marguerite Beers, went out of their way to ensure the ceremony and post ceremony cocktail hour were exquisite and for that, they made the experience memorable and allowed their guests to feel like pampered royalty.
